Of Lore and Ruin
Status: In progress
Some things don’t survive by hiding. They survive by being forgotten.
For nearly two millennia, an ancient shapeshifting god out of Greek myth has lived undetected in the American West, long after the belief systems that first gave it a name stopped looking for it. When a horse thief in 1840s Utah stumbles across what it really is, the encounter costs him everything, and no one believes the one man who saw it happen. A century and a half later, a cult convinced they’re calling something else entirely wakes up what’s been waiting all along.
Of Lore and Ruin is a novel about what gets lost when institutions, religious, historical, or otherwise, try to explain what they were never built to understand. It’s cosmic horror, grounded in a frontier as unforgiving as the thing hiding in it.

Status: In progress
A collection of shorter pieces exploring the same territory as Of Lore and Ruin, institutional control, inherited belief, and the fragility of individual lives against forces too large to name. Titles and descriptions coming soon as these move closer to completion.
